Description: Here are FIVE unique iced tea blends we’ve created from high quality Nilgiri CTC teas. These are uber fine teas, so they are not as pretty as our whole leaf teas, but they steep up a bold, rich, flavorful iced tea. We’ve packaged them in approximately 1.2oz. pouches, which is just enough for one gallon of iced tea (more if you re-steep) so you can just rip them open, dump them out and steep. No measuring required!

Dry Leaf Smell: root beer, perhaps a hint of sarsaparilla

The flavor was more of a smell.
Post-Steep Additives:
agave nectar, bring out the root beer but it is still not a strong flavor
In the end a plain iced tea with a little root beer flavor.

I'm not normally a huge flavored tea person, but something intrigues me about the idea of "root beer" flavored tea. Root beer does have natural origins. It also reminds me of birch beer, with a very similar aroma...which has the chemical methyl salicylate in it, the same chemical responsible for the wintergreen aroma. Methyl salicylate occurs naturally in the tea leaf too. So I can see the root beer and tea flavor naturally blending well with each other.
