The Republic of Tea Teabag Herbal Tea 'Hot Apple Cider Tea'

>>Prior Review

Tea Information:
Tea: Hot Apple Cider Tea
Type: Herbal Tea
Packaging: Teabag
Company: The Republic of Tea
Purchase: Here
Description: Hot Apple Cider Tea is a naturally-caffeine free blend of apples, cinnamon cloves and ginger, reminiscent of hot apple cider - the perfect accompaniment to the colors of the harvest season."
"Reminiscent of apple cider, with the luscious aroma of cinnamon and cloves

Ingredients: apple pieces, cinnamon, orange peel, rose hips, berry leaves, natural apple flavor, ginger root, cloves, natural lemon flavor, citric acid, cardamom seeds

Steep Information:
Amount: 2 teabags
Additives: none
Water: 8 ounces hot spigot water
Steep Time: a little over 6 minutes
Served: Hot

Tasting Notes:
Dry Leaf Smell: cinnamon, clove, spicy, followed by citrus
Steeped Tea Smell: apple pie, spice (cinnamon, cardamom, clove, ginger)
Flavor: juicy apple followed by spice
Body: Medium
Aftertaste: citrus
Liquor: deep honey yellow-orange

A spicy apple pie taste (more spicy than most bland apple pies bought in stores) but not quite apple enough to be a spiced apple cider.

Had another 2 cups during the day and finished it off. I don't think I'll be buying this again, some of their other herbals are so much tastier, and I wanted more apple in it.

Post-Steep Additives: honey

didn't notice much difference
