David's Tea Teabag Black Tea 'organic cream of earl grey'

Tea Information:
From 24 teas to love gift set
Tea: organic cream of earl grey
Type: Black Tea
Packaging: teabag
Company: David's Tea
Purchase: Here
Description: Lovers of Earl Grey tea adore this creamy alternative to the original breakfast blend. You’ll recognize the same high-quality black tea, the same citrus burst of bergamot oil, the same beautiful grey-blue petals. However this version adds a touch of vanilla, and the result is an unexpectedly rich, creamy taste experience. Try it on its own or as a satisfying tea latte.
Ingredients: Organic: Black tea, marigolds. With cornflowers and natural flavouring.

Steep Information:
Amount: 1 tea bag
Water: boiling, 1 mug full
Tool: pot
Steep Time: lost track of time, over 5 minutes
Served: Hot

Tasting Notes:
Dry Leaf Smell: Smell vanilla, floral, citrus
Steeped Tea Smell: Smell vanilla, citrus, bakey.
Flavor: Bakey start, vanilla finish.
Body: Medium
Aftertaste: Astringent and citrus after with hints if lingering perfume :(
Liquor: Color dark red brown.

Not my favorite earl grey, unlikely to buy

Post-Steep Additives: Added cream and sugar and cut down on the perfume now it's mostly vanilla with a hint of citrus and a hint of astringency
Resteep: none

Rating: 3/4 leaves

Leaf system:
1=Bleh! not again if it were free
2=Acceptable, if it were free or there were limited other tea options
3=I might purchase this tea from time to time, or select it while out
4=A staple in our cupboard from now on, I will purchase and keep purchasing
