I found a great link about tea tasting!

I love caffeine! I prefer tea to coffee. I prefer my flavors to be in your face, not subtle. I plan to use this blog to keep track of the teas I have tried. "Brains are inversely proportionate to common sense" - Nicole Schwartz

One golden nugget from there:
STEEPING
Here are some recommended steep times and temperatures for different types of tea from Ropes. In general, use 1 teaspoon of tea per 6 ounces of water. For stronger tea, use more tea instead of steeping longer, which can make the tea bitter.
- White teas: 160 to 180 degrees; steep 3 to 6 minutes.
- Green teas from China: 175 to 180 degrees; steep 2 to 3 minutes.
- Green teas from Japan: 160 to 170 degrees; steep 1 to 2 minutes.
- Green oolong: 185 degrees; steep 3 minutes.
- Amber oolong: 190 degrees; steep 3 minutes.
- Black tea from China: 190 degrees; steep 2 to 3 minutes.
- Darjeeling: 190 degrees; steep 2 to 3 minutes.
- Assam: 200 degrees; steep 3 to 5 minutes.
- Ceylon: 200 degrees; steep 3 to 5 minutes.
- Pu-erh: 200 degrees; steep 5 minutes or more.

I found the most wonderful cross-brand site for tea logging!
http://steepster.com/
I'll be trying this out, then deciding if I want to maintain both this blog and the steepster account
