I had this tea this morning in my mom's office.

I didn't taste mango at all, I tasted tart passionfruit.

I didn't really like it, but it wasn't bad enough to make me want to not finish it. I think it would have been better with some sweetener.

Well, it's not great, it's not bad, it's meh. It dissolved fairly well in cold water with a bit of stirring.

Stash Teabag Black Tea 'chai spice black tea'

Tea Information:
Tea: chai spice black tea
Type: Black Tea
Packaging: Teabag
Company: Stash
Purchase: Here
Description: Spicy, aromatic blend of black teas, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, clove and cardamom.
Ingredients: Blended black tea, ginger root, cinnamon, cinnamon flavor, clove oil, allspice, clove, nutmeg, and cardamom oil.

Steep Information:
Amount: 1 teabag
Additives: none
Water: 8 ounces hot spigot water
Steep Time: a little over 3 minutes
Served: Hot

Tasting Notes:
Dry Leaf Smell: ginger, cinnamon, clove, spice
Steeped Tea Smell: tea, generic spice
Flavor: generically spicy tea
Body: Light/Medium/Full
Aftertaste: slightly bitter and astringent aftertaste with hints of spice
Liquor: deep dark reddish-brown

This was better, spicier and bolder, than I was expecting from a bagged chai made in the office, but not one that really WOWed me.

Post-Steep Additives: 1 packet sugar = smoother, better
2 packet sugar = spicier, better

think it needs milk/cream

New teabag:
1 teabag
8 ounces hot spigot water with one flavia latte packet
3 min

The result was a weak chai, I should should have steeped longer

It was very smooth, more spice after the sip than at the start of the sip

I will try again longer with a latte and some honey or sugar and a longer steep

Rating: 2/4 leaves with the potential to be a 3

Stash Teabag Herbal Tea 'Christmas Eve'

Tea Information:
Tea: Christmas Eve
Type: Herbal Tea
Packaging: Teabag
Company: Stash
Purchase: Here
Description:
Ingredients: Cinnamon, orange peel, spearmint, and natural flavors of vanilla, orange, cinnamon and clove

Steep Information:
Amount: 1 teabag
Additives: none
Water: 150 F hot spigot water, 1 mug full
Steep Time: a little over 3 minutes (using Steep. It)
Served: Hot

Tasting Notes:
Dry Leaf Smell: candy cane, mint
Steeped Tea Smell: mint, spice
Flavor: minty
Body: Medium
Aftertaste: warm spice
Liquor: light translucent yellow brown

This was a gift from Janefan.

Still have my head cold, so smells and tastes may be more potent than described. I am not picking up the orange or vanilla. The cinnamon and clove come in more toward the end, as the mint hits you first.

Now that I hunt for it, I can bring out the orange, not getting it strongly though.

This tea does as advertised and does bring to mind Christmas (with all the mulled drinks and cookies and candy canes).

I would say you need to want a mint tea, and like mint tea for you to enjoy this. The tea does bring in some spice to the end but it's a complimenting note and not the main flavor.

Post-Steep Additives: none

Resteep: not attempting due to being at work

Rating: 2/3
